The University of Michigan's Health Management Research Center (UM-HMRC) is the nation's leading employer Health & Productivity risk management thought center.

For over 30 years, the UM-HMRC has researched effective HRA-based health management. Using a scientifically validated HRA and analyzing medical claims costs, UM-HMRC has discovered a number of highly effective health management strategies. Learnings from their research led the UM-HMRC to develop the Trend Management System (TMS), which predicts individuals within a population expected to have high utilization within 2--3 years.

The University of Michigan's HRA is the most studied and researched HRA in the world. In 1980, the UM-HMRC was the first to work with the CDC in the mutual investigation of the computerization of the HRA. Since then, the Center's HRA, based on the CDC and Carter Center revisions, has been used in over one hundred twenty (120) publications, and is continuously updated, based on morbidity and mortality tables, clinical preventive service guidelines, medical cost and productivity drivers, and other authoritative sources.

The UM-HMRC takes our ACBG Member's medical, Rx, HRA, health coaching, Workers Comp, biometric, and disability data and turns it into informational reports with actionable strategies for reducing risk.
